This is an ongoing series of events I run that encourage people to tell their stories in a relaxed and un-pressured way.
Based in places such as cafes I set up a space where real people tell real stories from they own lives. It’s not about performance and serves no other purpose than to get people to simple connect with each other. It stems from my believe that theatre is a very simple exchange – something to say, someone to say it, someone to listen – I love it’s simplicity. Everyone has a sense of theatre within them and everyone has a story, in fact they have hundreds.
I have had some incredibly moving and funny experiences listening to a group of strangers suddenly sharing tales. And one of the most heartening sights is at the end of the evening seeing that same group all talking together in a true spirit of community.
